Our ECD centre provides quality care and a learning environment to children between the ages of 2 to 6 years. Our centre provides a dry, comfortable light-filled space for children affected by HIV/AIDS, orphaned and vulnerable indigent children. There is a lovely, wide, grassed outside play area for the children, with play equipment to provide recreation and stimulate children’s energies and provide daily needed exercise. The children in our centre are supported by trained and qualified ECD teachers and educarers that follow the National Curriculum Framework for children from 2 to 4 and the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) for those in Pre Grade R and Grade (5 and 6 years of age).
The children are offered two nutritious meals each day in the pre-school children, breakfast and lunch, and a healthy snack. We also provide Vitamin A and Deworming semi-annually for all the children attending our centre and we assist in accessing primary health care when necessary through our professional nurses that are based at the centre.
